Cathay Platinum

Can't believe it that I actually get invitation to watch in Cathay Platinum exclusive hall for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... (yea copy from bedtime stories)

Well as usual, less word more pic..

The entrance to heaven

Once inside you will be greeted by any being working inside, which make you feel as if you are walking on the red carpet...

Then the very first thing you will notice before anything else is the nice aroma.. smells good and refreshing.. Then you will see this wavy design on the wall..

Then comes the lounge.. Here you have PC for surfing, comfy chairs to relax while you enjoying some upcoming movie trailer on LCD screen mounted to the wall.. You can even see massage chair..

But wait there is another lounge where you can have an outside view install of walls surrounding you..

There is this drink dispenser too...

With menu placed beside it shall you need some luxury order..

After all these 'professionally-taken-photo-session', is time to pamper myself with a massage and then follow by a cool ice drink to chill myself down during these hot season..

Surprisingly the price they offered was somewhat half of what its competitor have to offer
Ticket Pricings at Platinum Movie Suites
Sun-Wed RM 25 all day
Thur-Fri & Eve of PH (except Sat) RM25 before 6pm & RM40 after 6pm
Sat & PH RM40 all day

and this is the view of the screening hall

These chairs are make to make you feel as comfort as home but gives you the feeling that you are actually watching it in a VIP room with all the awesome sound system and crystal clear screen. The screen was not that big though but from either one of the seat, the view is somehow similar in size and in angle.. The chair is equipped with soft and comfy material and you can adjust the chair according to your comfort level and yet it could make you feel sleepy once you are in the most comfortable zone.

I know I sounded like I origin from Kampung in this, but heck, is my first time there and it is exclusive. Beat that..

Excessive Celebration

What does this remind you? Yea, a celebration of scoring a goal or a in a winning stake..

People do all sorts of things when they feel proud and happy of their achievement as part of expression.
But what if you over-done it, and you did it on the wrong time? It become joke of the year... Enjoy

Threads of Destiny 366天的約定

The story revolves around the “red thread of fate” connecting the young pair Mei and Atsushi and the trials they face during their high school period. Their romance is about to blossom when she meets a gentle-natured boy named Atsushi during a school trip to Nagasaki with close camaraderie of her school friends, Taka, Mia, Yuri, Natsu, Mitsu and Sara. The two begin to realize that they share many things in common that seem to transcend mere coincidence: the same birthday (February 29th, 1992) and a previous encounter when they were both 8. Feeling a bond of fate, they grow closer. But destiny can have a dark side to it, too, and a shocking revelation from both of their pasts compels Atsushi to pull away from Mei. The devastating separation then unleashes a wave of misfortune upon Mei: the death of a loved one, friend end up with drug addiction and domestic violence. As circumstances seek to take control of her life, Mei struggles to maintain her faith in the tenuous thread of destiny that will reunite her with her true love.

Gotten my premier pass, headed into the cinema, ended in the movie titled: Threads of Destiny 366天的約定 Fast and Furious 4 instead. :p I actually missed the opportunity to watch this before it was release, so...

Don't ask me why don't ask me how, I just did. Anyway back to track, the movie still have plenty of room to fits in more action instead of storyline. However I think I'm aging pretty fast that I actually found out that the movie make the bad guy (referring to Vin Diesel and gang) seems to be doing the right thing and cool. Weird.. A 3.5 star movie out of 5.. and it rock to see all the original cast back on screen.

My pass to Fast and Furious 4 :p

Premier Screening - The Uninvited

The poster says it all, this is a thriller/horror/ghost type of movie and it is a combination of all, not ghost maybe.. more of an imaginary..

There are a connection between such genre movie as everything is just playing in the mind of the main cast and most of the time is just imaginary spouse/friend/family/lover/etc.

Overall not an recommended movie if you are hunting for something fresh, but if you are looking for Emily Browning then...

U2 have sold more than 145 million albums worldwide and have won 22 Grammy Awards, more than any other band. U2 hasn't release any album since 2004 and had only begun to work on its new album back in 2006. Here's abit more about the album.

No Line on the Horizon and U2 360° Tour (2006–present)

The band began work on their twelfth album No Line on the Horizon in 2006, originally writing and recording with producer Rick Rubin, but the material was shelved. The band subsequently chose to begin writing and recording for the album with producers Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno in June 2007. A two-week trip to Fez, Morocco where the six recorded led to the band experimenting with North African sounds and indicating the album would be more experimental than their previous efforts. During the album sessions, on 31 March 2008, it was confirmed that U2 signed a 12 year deal with Live Nation worth an estimated $100 million (£50 million),which includes Live Nation controlling the band's merchandise, sponsoring, and their official website.

After 16 months in the studio, the band completed No Line on the Horizon in December 2008, and it was released on 27 February 2009.The album received generally positive reviews, but critics noted the end result was not as experimental as expected. The band have confirmed plans to release another album by the end of the year, provisionally titled Songs of Ascent, consisting of material recorded during the sessions for No Line on the Horizon. Bono says it will be "a more meditative album on the theme of pilgrimage".

U2 will begin a worldwide stadium tour entitled the U2 360° Tour to support No Line on the Horizon. The tour will begin on 30 June 2009 and will feature European and North American legs in 2009 each approximately 6 weeks long, with additional shows to follow in 2010. The tour will feature a 360-degree staging/audience configuration, in which the fans will surround the stage from all sides.

OMFG Watching Star Trek in Studio V

AMBP (All Malaysian Blog Project) is giving every blogger a fair chance to watch the premier screening of Star Trek, ahead of the rest. I've been to countless premier movie screening in all 3 Cineplex we have in Malaysia be it in KL or Selangor, but never have I been into Studio V. AMBP is kind enough to open up this opportunity now and how could a movie lover like me miss out the opportunity?

You could find out more here
http://allmalaysia.info/

Here is a brief intro to Star Trek for those who don't know what Star Trek is about
Star Trek is an American science fiction entertainment series and media franchise. The Star Trek fictional universe created by Gene Roddenberry is the setting of six television series including the original 1966 Star Trek, in addition to ten feature films with an eleventh completed to be released on May 8, 2009. The franchise also extends to dozens of computer and video games, hundreds of novels and instances of fan fiction, several fan-created video productions, as well as a themed attraction in Las Vegas. Beginning with the original TV series and continuing with the subsequent films and series, the franchise has created a cult phenomenon and has spawned many pop culture references.
Now Star Trek is back, and this time it has landed itself in the big screen. With advance CGI and improved technology the movie is set to rock your world. This movie is NOT, I repeat NOT to be miss. To spice things up take a look at the trailer.

Here is why you too should attend the screening
1. Money can't buy experience - Watching it in Studio V (OMFG)
2. Meet 100 bloggers there - Who know you might collaborate or come out with something else
3. Premier Screening - Watch it on 1st May 2009 while the movie is release on 8th May 2009
4. Star Trek on the big screen - Need to elaborate more?
5. Refreshment provided - can save on your meal too.

Thus I don't see why one should let this opportunity off. Unless you are earning half a million every hour, otherwise it will be regret not attending this.

Hope to see everyone there then.

Speak

Copy the following text and paste it into Notepad

"Right click on the desktop >> New >> Text Document"

Dim message, sapi
message=InputBox("What do you want me to say?","Speak to Me")
Set sapi=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
sapi.Speak message

Save the file as ‘speak.vbs‘ (be sure to include the .vbs)

Now double click on speak.vb and you’ll see an input box.

Type your message, press enter, and then listen to your PC speaking.

If the code above does not work…

You’ve probably run in to one of two problems:

1. Your browser displays the quotation marks differently. Go back to the Notepad file and replace all the quotes (”). Save the file and try again.

2. You do not have the SAPI installed on your computer, so this will not work (very unlikely as this comes with Windows, but if you have a custom/pirate version this may be the case.)

The Blank White Box

Receive a blank white box today and guess what is in it?

The box is slightly dented as shown, but who give a damn.

Let's open up and see what's inside. It seems that it come with a manual. Hmm.. an electronic device perhaps? Nah.. To find out let's go back to the stage where the box is still unopen.

There you go. By now you should already know it is a watch, I hope.. Now let's just take everything out and have a group photo wouldn't ya'

First of all the manual and warranty card, haven't have time to go through yet. Now comes the main course

I don't know why I snap this but I can assure you that is influenced by JJ Lim, maybe he can tell us why.. Group photo coming right up

This is how I get the watch

Just a day before the ending date of the contest SHINJUKU INCIDENT RD 2, I submitted a photo that won myself a Seiko Criteria Watch - Courtesy of Seiko in collaboration with GSC. Receive a call few days later requested me to redeem it from its head office in Damansara Jaya (near Atria), a place when I wasted all my youth there for non healthy yet memorable activities. Upon entering the office it just felt like entering to GSC cinema cause their seat and carpet and environment is EXCATLY the same design and feel. Anyway a very big thank to both the sponsor.

Guess who is Seiko Ambassador in Asia? It is non other than Daniel Wu who also stared in Shinjuku Incident

Here are the spec of the watch

RE: 2 premier screening coming my way

Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Honestly speaking if you are planning to watch this movie on the big screen, you should stop yourself from watching its trailer/teaser, cause it is a big spoiler, it spoil all the fun of the movie. Watch it at your own risk, you have been warned. Did I mention that this movie is produced by Adam Sandler?

Coming Soon
Again, if you have watched the trailer, it might contain some spoiler, however you can expect the unexpected, because at scene that you thought you were familiar with already is not what you've been waiting to see. Some of the scene might already be familiar to you and credit have to be given to the director who also brought shutter and alone to us.

2 premier screening coming my way

Receive 2 invitation to the premier screening of 2 new movie this week. Totally awesome and am looking forward for it.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop - Thank to Malaysian Today

Trust me this is the face you would want to see when you are in trouble or when you needed aid in the mall. XD

Coming Soon - Thank to AMP

We have seen horror movies that make us afraid and scare of looking into the mirror / taking the lift alone / driving alone / looking at the rear mirror / to enter the toilet / peeping underneath the bed during mid night, but will this movie stop you from entering the cinema hall ever after?

Can't wait for Tuesday & Wednesday ^^
